Having Heart In A Sometimes Heartless World

Day 98 - Week at a glance

Scripture focus: God looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. Psalm 53:2 NLT

In summary:

  • Sometimes we get so focused on the dark side of humanity, that we fail to acknowledge the truth from God's perspective. He made us "very good."
  • God's desire for godly living is not because he's insecure and needs his kids to behave in order for him to feel like a decent Father. He knows that when we stress our brains out by living counter to our true God-created identity - that we're making needless trouble for ourselves.
  • We humans get confused; we think God wants us to live life to please him. In truth, God is already delighted with his children!
  • God desires for us to trust him, because in this state of 'being' there's lots of room for Him to guide us into what he wants us to be 'doing.'
  • Ambition is God-given, and is best experienced when we are God-led.
  • Brain cravings all focus on survival (self-centered); Soul cravings are an expression of hope.
  • Hope is a community activity - we have it, so that we can give it.

This completes the first ninety eight steps of your 365 step journey; I pray you are nearer to God as a result of the steps you've taken this week.
