Scripture focus: Jesus resumed talking to the people, but now tenderly. "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Do the words of Jesus in this passage cause your soul to cry out in thirsty declaration – “I need a God who can show me how to take a real rest!”
Walk with him.
Work with him.
Watch how he does it.
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace…sound heavenly?
So I ask you – why do we keep laboring under our own false impressions of a god who is not God?
