December 15
Scripture focus: The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you in singing. Zephaniah 3:17
Ten more days until Christmas. Did you wake up this morning with a list of "to dos" for the holiday season? In the midst of all the madness that the holiday season brings, I pray that you maintain your consciousness about yourself and God – so that you might hear his voice as he rejoices over you in song.

Oh I had not even thought about Christmas being only ten days away what I going to do? In all honesty for the first time in a long time I believe I see Christmas for what it is and not what I want it to be. For me this year it is truly about spending time with Family, Community and Hut Dwellers in the celebration of the birth of the ONE sent for me to believe in. This year it is not about what I can buy or give someone, It is going to be about what I can do for others while staying true to my God created self. Much like Thanksgiving is far to big for one day, Christmas is about a birth, the true gift of Christmas is meant for everyday not just the 25th of December. While reading Titus 1 5-9 "It's important that a church leader, responsible for the affairs in God's house, be looked up to—not pushy, not short-tempered, not a drunk, not a bully, not money-hungry. He (She) must welcome people, be helpful, wise, fair, reverent, have a good grip on him(Her)self, and have a good grip on the Message, knowing how to use the truth to either spur people on in knowledge(faith) or stop them in their tracks if they oppose it." I am sad to know that I have been disqualified to be a church leader, but not surprised(lol). I am blessed to hear messages from such a person on a weekly basis and here daily. I pray for the ability to hear the songs He sing for me. What has the Christmas season become for you? God Bless us all everyone....
the words of the song we sang last week says it succintly... "too much stuff"...
"may it be Thy will,O Lord my G-d, to conduct me in peace, to direct my steps in peace, to uphold me in peace, and to deliver me from every enemy and ambush along the way. send a blessing upon the work of my hands, and let me obtain grace, loving kindness, and mercy in Thine eyes and in the eyes of all who behold me. Blessed art Thou , O Lord who hearkenest unto prayer." (The Very Reverend Dr. J. H. Hertz) at first glance this might seem to be a selfish prayer, and yet it is a prayer for all who I come in contact with today. if my prayer is answered, I will be a vessel today that the Lord can use to bless others, to bless and not harm-that they may see Him, not me. a.'nanny'mouse
