Scripture focus: Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Community is priceless.

I suppose we could live without it, but who would want to?

As you wrap up 2009 and head into 2010, I hope you will take some time to evaluate your community. Have you surrounded yourself with people who will join with you and give you a good return for your work?

If you fall do you have the kind of friends who will help you up or kick you while you're down?

May you find the kind of community that helps you stay in the truth and find wisdom in the process.

"If you fall do you have the kind of friends who will help you up or kick you while you're down?" i have the kind of friends at North Star who will help me up when i am down, and when i need it [and sometimes i still do], they will kick me when i am down_not to keep me down but to emphasize the fact that they aren't going anywhere until i do get up. how did i gain those friends? i told them my secrets. sometimes they told me first, sometimes i told them first. time spent together developing trust is what it is all about. a.'nanny'mouse
